Welcome to the Gaylord Texan ! I surprised Kara for V-day this year and sprang for a nice hotel. I figured this might be our last opportunity to escape for a night as a family of 2. It was a very nice hotel.

It has a huge indoor atrium and this is one of three areas. This one features the Alamo behind us.
We arrived at about 6pm on Friday and figured we'd spend the whole time together just relaxin'. So of course there was Room service for Dinner ( Kara had a tasty chicken dish and I had a yummy steak ) AND for Breakfast Mmmmm , it was very good.
At the center looking up is this huge star. It was very beautiful and within this atrium it even has a recreation of the river walk in San Antonio.
And it sits on the cusp of Lake Grapevine. I saw these sailboats and thought of my dad and know he woulda been out there today with these guys. Maybe even going through there race course HA.It was a very relaxing stay. It is such a blessing to have Kara as my wife. I'm the luckiest guy in the world , I am truly blessed. We are both excited and nervous about the arrival of our little one , Annabelle. I do know this , Kara will be a great mother. Ive seen her with niece's and nephew's and she pours out love and care to them , sometimes even in song as she holds them.
The Baby's room is progressing nicely. Two walls down , two to go. should be finished within a week or so. I'll post pictures when it is completed.
Kara and I went to the doctor yesterday for the regular monthly mom and baby check-up.
29 inches ! she's progressing nicely. Well , guess that's enough for now, until next time....
